In the present study specific performance indicators are proposed in order to express the level of service of a water system subjected to varying operating conditions over time. The proposed methodology has been applied to a specific case study (Sinni water supply system in Basilicata - Italy) to show how it is possible to improve the knowledge of the system, to locate the structural criticity, to support the monitoring and the management activities and to drive the decisions towards strategic objectives.

Abstract
