Recently we have studied heat propagation in certain solids at cryogenic temperatures in order to identify models which describe the effect of second sound. Previously only thermal models have been developed. In the present paper we investigate waves in a coupled thermo-mechanical model which contains the semi-empirical model of second sound as a special case.
