The paper continues the research on annotations, found in many Greek and Latin codices, often dated and structured according to the formula ‘Visto per mi’ followed by a name. These annotations, which remained enigmatic for a long time, are now revealed to be the work of officials in the service of Leonello and Borso d'Este; linked to the payment of the import duty, they document the volume's entry into the territory of Ferrara, shedding light on numerous biographical and textual vicissitudes. This essay collects for the first time the dossier on three of these officials: Bartolomeo Bardella, Francesco Villanelli and Giovanni Pescadori.
