In this paper, I propose a reading of Bergson in an intercultural perspective, starting from a close discussion of a recent book, Bergson postcolonial, of the Senegalese philosopher Souleymane Bachir Diagne. On this basis, I analyse the relationship between the inward and the outer language in Bergson’s moral philosophy, focusing on the pedagogical implications of this assumption. In the final part of the article, I dwell on the moral action of mystics in history, valuing their role in creating and maintaining the “open society” and interculturality.

Abstract
In this paper, I propose a reading of Bergson in an intercultural perspective, starting from a close discussion of a recent book, Bergson postcolonial, of the Senegalese philosopher Souleymane Bachir Diagne. On this basis, I analyse the relationship between the inward and the outer language in Bergson’s moral philosophy, focusing on the pedagogical implications of this assumption. In the final part of the article, I dwell on the moral action of mystics in history, valuing their role in creating and maintaining the “open society” and interculturality.File in questo prodotto:
