Orchard nutritional status is key factor for achievement of high quality and productivity. The optimal equilibrium amidst vine demand and soil availability of nutrients represents a pre-requisite to sustain productivity and minimise environmental risk. This study reports the annual demand of N, P, K, Ca and Mg and its within-vine partitioning recorded in mature kiwifruit orchards trained to pergola in the Cisterna (LT) area. Criteria to be considered for fertilization plan (e.g. amounts of minerals applied through irrigation water and recycled by crop residues, the mineralization process) are proposed.

Abstract
Orchard nutritional status is key factor for achievement of high quality and productivity. The optimal equilibrium amidst vine demand and soil availability of nutrients represents a pre-requisite to sustain productivity and minimise environmental risk. This study reports the annual demand of N, P, K, Ca and Mg and its within-vine partitioning recorded in mature kiwifruit orchards trained to pergola in the Cisterna (LT) area. Criteria to be considered for fertilization plan (e.g. amounts of minerals applied through irrigation water and recycled by crop residues, the mineralization process) are proposed.File in questo prodotto:
