The bishop Marco Antonio Fiodo (1513-1536), in 1520, had drawn up a list in order to provide to the collection of the tithe. This document, full of references and details, allows us to know more directly a slice of life of diocese- city of Castellaneta in first quarter of XVI century, being similar to the models of reports of pastoral visits, whose routine procedure was recorded before 1572 (year of the first pastoral visit known so far on-site) in another doc- ument (whose certified copy was dated after 1533) that was providentially preserved at the Cathedral Chapter.
