The distribution of the zeros of Jacobi polynomials of the second kind P~(I+J~~~i)s studied, and lower and upper bounds for the corresponding Christoffel functions are given. Fourier expansions in the system {P,(w”~~)} are also considered. Moreover, some theorems on the convergence of Lagrange interpolating polynomials based on the zeros of P~(w”~“) are proved.
