La nuova consapevolezza autoriale in età umanistica: Bruni, Valla, Biondo e la lezione di Tucidide

Nel quadro del rinnovamento del XV sec., quando il genere storiografico riceve le prime regolamentazioni, l'articolo offre alcuni inediti spunti di riflessione sugli effetti generati dalla lettura di Tucidide. Servì - in maniera diretta o indiretta - ad alcuni importanti autori, come Leonardo Bruni, Lorenzo Valla e Biondo Valla, per acquisire maggiore consapevolezza nelle funzioni etiche e nel metodo della scrittura e dell'indagine storica (del passato me del presente).

[The new authorial awareness in the humanistic age: Bruni, Valla, Biondo and the lesson of Thucydides] In the context of the 15th century renewal, when the historiographic genre receives its first regulations, the paper offers some unpublished reflections on the effects generated by the reading of Thucydides. It was useful - directly or indirectly - to some important authors, such as Leonardo Bruni, Lorenzo Valla and Biondo Valla, in order to acquire greater awareness in the ethical functions and in the method of writing and of investigating history (the past and the present).
