Promoted by the autarchic policies, Italian industry in the early 1900s came to the definition of a new ‘constructive interpretation’ that from the stereotomy of the masonry passes to the new concrete and steel frames; this situation allows the production of composite products made of sheets, plates and blocks composed of natural, vitreous, woody or cementitious materials. Among them, the “Graticcio Stauss” which represents the morphological and material evolution of the traditional constructive system called “incannucciato” and was used for the realization of vaults, lunettes, arches and complex geometries.
