The article is aimed to analyse and discuss, from a pedagogical point of view, the emergency of cyberbullying, increasingly spread among young people. First of all, the author shows the specific characters of cyberbullying from different perspectives (psychological and psychopathological, sociological, legal, and educational), offering a taxonomy of different specific kinds of the phenomenon. Secondly, he presents a review of most important surveys in the field, pointing out the increasing of spread and severity of the problem in the last decades. Lastly, he offers some proposals of educational strategies aimed to counteract and prevent the phenomenon.
