In this paper the Authors propose an operational methodology for the assessment of road traffic pollutant emissions, and then to proceed to an evaluation of the dispersion of pollutants in the surrounding environment. The methodology implements a model (COPERT 4) to evaluate the emission of pollutants that is based on the processing of a broad set of parameters, which take into account the general characteristics of the phenomenon and the specific reality of application. The assessment of the ground concentrations of road transport pollutants was carried out by using a stationary model of medium complexity called MOCAR. The application of the proposed methodology allows to identify the areas in which higher is the risk that acute episodes of air pollution occur for the pollutants. The methodology also allows to develop the scenario simulations that are able to identify the most effective strategies for air pollution containment.

Abstract
The methodology also allows to develop the scenario simulations that are able to identify the most effective strategies for air pollution containment.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
