Abstract

The objective of this task is to determine the transient variation of plasma position and shape following plasma disturbances foreseeable during the full performance phases of ITER reference and assessed scenarios. This work includes the following activities: • ST.A1.1 Characterization of noise in diagnostics for vertical stabilization (in cooperation with JET/UKAEA and AUG/IPP teams) • ST.A1.2 Construction of a plasma-circuit model using CREATE-L or CREATE-NL codes (CREATE) • ST.A1.3 Analysis of the performance of the ITER vertical stabilization controller and design of a new shape controller if needed (CREATE) • ST.A1.4 Analysis of the performance of the ITER shape controller and design of a new shape controller if needed (CREATE)
