Residues of Alachlor, Atrazine and its metabolites (plot A). Trifluralin and Lenacil (plot B), were evaluated in an Alluvial soil of South Italy at the end of two different crop rotations. Atrazine mostly residued in the layer 0-20 cm of the soil, Alachlor level was always lower than detection limit of the analytical method, no damage on crops was detected. Traces of Lenacil were found only in the upper layer of the soil. Spinach suffered 50% yield reduction as result of Trifluralin persistence
