This book is developed by the NatureCity LAB of the University of Basilicata, exploring walking as both a research practice and a design approach within the region’s inner areas. Walking is understood not only as a methodological tool, but as a relational process through which territories are interpreted and constructed. It proposes a perspective that moves beyond quantitative readings of marginality, reframing inner areas as spaces rich in relationships, cooperation, and potential. Walking becomes an interpretive lens grounded in process, the “oblique gaze,” and slowness: a situated and attentive way of observing that reveals overlooked places and fosters deeper forms of knowledge, memory, and connection. The book is organized into three sections—Trajectory, Stages, and Scenarios—which respectively address the theoretical framework, field-based experiences, and future perspectives linked to the concept of resonance. Together, they outline a relational geography of Basilicata’s inner areas and reflect on the University’s role as an active agent in territorial transformation.

Abstract
Together, they outline a relational geography of Basilicata’s inner areas and reflect on the University’s role as an active agent in territorial transformation.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
