Waste management is a critical component of environmental protection, public health, resource conservation, and sustainable development. By adopting comprehensive waste management practices that include recy-cling, waste reduction, and responsible disposal, societies can work toward creating cleaner, healthier, and sustainable environments for current and future generations. This chapter provides a comprehensive analysis of waste management practices in Gulf countries, focusing on case studies from the region to examine trends, challenges, and strategies employed. The study highlights the importance of waste management in promoting environmental sustainability, public health, and resource conservation in the Gulf region. While Gulf countries have made progress in implementing advanced waste management technologies and infrastructure, disparities exist in waste management practices and infrastructure across the region. Challenges such as rapid urbanization, inadequate infrastructure, and limited recycling facilities are identified as key obstacles to effective waste management. The chapter recommends adopting circular economy models, enhancing public awareness, investing in infrastructure, and implementing regulatory frameworks to drive compliance and best practices. By utilizing insights gained from lessons learned, best practices, and innovative solutions, Gulf countries have the opportunity to improve their waste management practices, decrease environmental effects, and progress toward a more sustainable and circular economy approach to waste management.

Abstract
By utilizing insights gained from lessons learned, best practices, and innovative solutions, Gulf countries have the opportunity to improve their waste management practices, decrease environmental effects, and progress toward a more sustainable and circular economy approach to waste management.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
