Results of a trial carried out in order to study the effect of water deficit on pepper plant architecture are reported. Water stress affected plant architecture reducing the leaf angle incidence and schifting the mode of leaf angle frequency distribution from 90° above the nadir in well watered to 20° in water stress condition. Leaf movements were significantly correlated to the turgor potential of the leaves.

Abstract
