Micellar organoclay filters were prepared by using SWy-2-Na-montmorillonite and octadecyl-trimethyl-ammonium-bromide (ODTMA) as surfactant. Atrazine contaminated water was purified retaining 76.5% of the initial amount in the micellar filter.
