This volume draws on an extensive qualitative and quantitative study of EU legal texts on migration. The research investigates whether Euro-English can be recognised as a distinct and alternative pan-European variety of standard British English in light of recent developments. Using the AntConc Concordancer, the analysis explores the lexico-grammatical and semantic features, as well as the collocational patterns of specific keywords within a corpus of 120 EU legal texts drafted in English. The findings offer valuable insights into the evolving nature of English as a lingua franca and the potential emergence of a Euro-English variety. This volume is intended for early-career scholars and readers interested in the intercultural and sociolinguistic dynamics of English in the EU, with particular attention to corpus linguistics.
