Abstract

From the doctoral program offered by the University of Seville of the School of Architecture (ETSA), the University Institute of Architecture and Building Sciences (IUACC) along with the ERASMUS International Mobility and teaching at the School of Building Engineering (ETSIE) served as a framework for a transversal training taking advantage of synergies resulting in a Thesis with International mention after a short stay at the University of Montepellier II at the IUT Genié Civile de Nîmes (France). The thesis studied the Occupational Risk Prevention in the restoration of heritage buildings from the point of view of its integration in all the processes of definition, execution and control of the activities to be carried out. The final destination and objective is to ensure the physical integrity of the workers who are in contact in the Restoration of the Andalusian Historical Heritage through the interventions promoted by the Ministry of Culture of the Andalusian Regional Government (2004-2009) and 3 buildings in the south of France.Dr. Graziela Bernardo from the University of Basilicata (Italy) took part in the defence of the thesis and received an International Mention. The particularities of the Restoration works were investigated for their risk control in the work centers. Always from the point of view of the Integral Prevention of Occupational Risks, as indicated by Law 31/95 on Occupational Risk Prevention and RD 1627/97 of minimum provisions for Health and Safety on construction sites with their counterparts in France. To this end, a questionnaire was drawn up and used as a model for interviewing the Health and Safety Coordinators during the construction phase, and it was possible to verify the differences that arose from the design phase to the actual execution phase. By means of an analytical, deductive and inductive methodology. Finally, they were extrapolated in those "new" activities that are incorporated in the processes of Restoration in heritage buildings.
