The first volume of the Epistolario concerns the five-year period including the letters that go from 1886 to 1890 (Part I). Mainly published by Elio Providenti and in a few other locations, the epistolary testimonies collected here - numbered and transcribed in chronological order and preceded by the recipient's indication - belong to the formative years, a period spent by the young student between Palermo, Rome and Bonn. A conspicuous amount of documents related to correspondence that allows us to retrace the stages of his apprenticeship and early literary production, through the dialogue that Luigi undertakes with family members, with fellow students and with female friendships, among which stands out a sentimental relationship that inspires the poet during his stay in Bonn. They are the privileged recipients of the letters of these years, but also the first readers of the works that Pirandello produces when he is still a student, eager to simply communicate titles, projects and drafts of works still in the elaboration phase or definitively completed texts. Compositions that are part of his youthful production to all intents and purposes and that, like those published in magazines, document the creative workshop, the various stages of development of his thought and his work.

Abstract
Compositions that are part of his youthful production to all intents and purposes and that, like those published in magazines, document the creative workshop, the various stages of development of his thought and his work.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
