The architectural and urban heritage, inherited from the Modern Movement and its theories, requires a reinterpretation and redevelopment capable of interpreting the new needs of contemporaneity. Particulary interesting are the documentation and the study of the new neighborhoods built in Potenza in the immediate post-war period. In fact, there was a new conception of public residential architecture and, although several designers ae involved in their conception and construction, a unitary design is evident for neighborhoods that are equipped with public and privategreen spaces and equipment. The theme of the recovery and re-design of the city, through methods such as architertural retrofitting, is important to determnining an economic and social redevelopment of the city
