Abstract
In the present paper directional stability of road vehicles traveling at time-dependent forward velocity has been studied. The dynamical behavior of the system is governed by a set of linear ordinary-differential equations with time-varying coefficients. In order to study the stability properties of road vehicles, a two degrees of freedom (DOF) model has been considered. Numerical simulations obtained by means of the Floquet theory show significative differences respect to the prediction of the stability analysis in the case of constant forward speed.File in questo prodotto:
