The drawing of the architecture, linked to the existing heritage, represents a "link" between past, present and future, with a view to enhancing and redefining roles, functions and opportunities in the reuse of small or large architectural complexes currently abandoned. Particular attention should be paid to that heritage that is not bound by the superintendents as it is not old enough to be called "monument" and not young enough to meet current, structural, energy and performance regulations. The drawing becomes, therefore, the instrument necessary to "actualize" the built, starting from an understanding of the logic and poetics that led to the original project, to check for it, later, the state and the current condition through the survey. This dual analytical approach makes it possible to "rethink" architecture and make it current, in an attempt to reinterpret an architectural language and direct the future designer to modernization both in terms of compositional choices, use of materials and reorganization of spaces. From this originates this research that has as its purpose that of proposing a "new design" of the Montesano sulla Marcellana’s (SA) Hotel and Spa Complex, designed by the master Enrico Del Debbio and currently associable with a contemporary architectural ruin. The research presented aims to restore the lost values, with a hypothesis of architectural and landscape restyling that connects the two forms of actualization, that is the rediscovery of a place devoted to architectural memory and the redefinition of new social activities, tourist and productive.
