The present paper show the results obtained by the elaboration of Landsat 5, Thematic Mapper images in order to evaluate a land use map useful for environmental distributed model. To such purposes it has been used software ENVI 3,5, searching innovative techniques that joined to the potentialities of G.I.S applications it has allowed to create a relational and flexible database functional in applications of physically based, distributed mathematical models, in order to simulate environmental phenomena.
