In the second half of the II century B.C., the Scythian Kingdom of Crimea attacked Tauric Chersonesos and the Heraclean peninsula and strengthened in the affairs with the Bosporan Kingdom. For Mithridates, the occasion to annex this area was offered by Scilurus and Palakus and later by Saumacus. In the paper the complex situation of the Bosporus in this period is analized.

Abstract
