Abstract
Different geometries of tensile test specimens have been analyzed to get information about the variability of the measured physical quantities during tensile tests in superplastic conditions. A commercial aluminium alloy (AA5083) sheet has been used for the experimentation. The influences of main geometrical parameters on the elongation to failure, the measured stress and other test responses have been investigated using a universal testing machine and a split furnace. A numerical model has been used to better understand deformation phenomena involved in tensile tests.File in questo prodotto:
