Survey of the current status on some of the issues in quark mixing after the recent experimental determination of the top quark mass. Weak decays of hadrons seem to provide a rather detailed knowledge of the flavour sector of the Standard Model and also serve as a probe of that part of the strong interactions phenomenology which is less understood: the confinement of quarks and gluons into hadrons. This intricate interplay between weak and strong interactions represents one of the most attractive and challenging questions in the recent years.

Abstract: | Survey of the current status on some of the issues in quark mixing after the recent experimental determination of the top quark mass. |
