Survey of the current status on some of the issues in quark mixing after the recent experimental determination of the top quark mass. Weak decays of hadrons seem to provide a rather detailed knowledge of the flavour sector of the Standard Model and also serve as a probe of that part of the strong interactions phenomenology which is less understood: the confinement of quarks and gluons into hadrons. This intricate interplay between weak and strong interactions represents one of the most attractive and challenging questions in the recent years.

Abstract
Survey of the current status on some of the issues in quark mixing after the recent experimental determination of the top quark mass. Weak decays of hadrons seem to provide a rather detailed knowledge of the flavour sector of the Standard Model and also serve as a probe of that part of the strong interactions phenomenology which is less understood: the confinement of quarks and gluons into hadrons. This intricate interplay between weak and strong interactions represents one of the most attractive and challenging questions in the recent years.File in questo prodotto:
