Phenylpropanoids are a class of phenylalanine derivatives with a basic C6−C3 (phenyl-propane) skeleton. Plant-derived phenylpropanoids (PPPs) compose the largest group of secondary metabolites produced by higher plants, they regulate a wide range of physiological process.1 Consequentely, they play an important role in the human health as neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-microbic activity.2 PPPs are parent molecules of several structurally and functionally diverse plant polyphenols (phenolic acids and esters, flavonoids, isoflavonoids, stilbenes, coumarins, curcuminoids, lignans, etc.). Herein we reported the total synthesis of two Natural Products (Allyltetramethoxybenzene3 and Myricanol4) and the preparation of Curcumin and Lignan Analogues. These compounds, efficiently obtained from similar phenylpropanoid derivatives, have different structures and biological activities. 1. Valdés-López, O.; Hernández, G. Front.
