The quantitative geomorphological survey of the cliff stretching from Roca to Torre dell'Orso (Provincia di Lecce) has been carried out by means of colour and infrared photos which have been taken from the sea witha aparticulare procedure. The use of the GIS allowed the determination of a number of morphometric features (such as cliff height, strata thickness, joint density, landslides, and so on) The spatial distribution of eatch characteristic has been reported on thematic maps after the necessary analisys and classification. The method of survey and analisys supplied a valuable data set useful for the determination of the gecoeomorphological hazard along the studied coastal tract.
