The land suitability was carried out by Multi Criterial Evaluation (MCE). Results show that land suitability of Park for wild boar is allocated as follows: 30% high, 56% intermediate and 13% low. The most suited areas are found in the south of the Park in the lands of the following municipalities: Spinoso, Tramutola, Moliterno, San Chirico Raparo, San Martino d‟Agri and Laurenzana. The liquidated damages amounted to 40.000 €/year in 2009 and 2010, and to € 30.000 in 2011. Culling program delivered to reduce wild boar presence and damages may suggest the implementation of a short chain of wild boar meat. This would reduce the density of population and, at the same time, revenues from the sale of meat and of its by products could be used to compensation for damage caused by the species.
