The paper describes a new radiative transfer code for the analysis and inversion of high spectral resolution infrared observations. Its application to spectra acquired from an airplane-based Fourier Transform Spectrometer, during a flight campaign in the tropics, is presented. The campaign also deserved an in-depth validation of the radiative transfer tool.
